Frequently Asked Questions, Answered!
We know that patients have lots of questions heading into their first visit, even if they don’t struggle with dental-related anxiety or have concerns about the cost. For that reason, we’ve dedicated this next section to answering FAQs, including how to get emergency dental care. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for here, you’re more than welcome to reach out to our Raleigh dental team directly too!
How do I get emergency dental care?
That depends largely on the symptoms you’re experiencing. Tooth pain, dental sensitivity, loose restorations, and the like all warrant a visit to our Raleigh dental office. If you’re struggling with potentially life-threatening symptoms, on the other hand, like trouble swallowing, difficulty breathing, or severe bleeding, then you should go to the ER or call 911 instead. At the hospital, they will provide the medical care you need before sending you to our office for dental care.
Important note: Hospitals don’t typically have dentists on-staff, which is why you shouldn’t go there for toothaches, minor chips, and the like.
What do you do if you can't afford a dentist?
It’s very common for patients to worry about the cost of their dental care – whether it’s their six-month checkup or same-day emergency care. The good news is that Dr. Lisk and the rest of our dedicated dental team near Raleigh won’t leave you in the dark when it comes to something as important as the price. Quite the opposite, in fact, since we do our best to provide transparent prices and offer several financial solutions to help keep your out-of-pocket expenses to a minimum. Simply put, if you think that you can’t afford a dentist, don’t hesitate to give us a call to share the service (or services) you’re interested in and learn about dental insurance, our in-house plan, and flexible financing.
How do I find the best place to get dental work done?
The ideal dental practice for you will depend on what you value as a patient. Are you looking for an office that’s close to your work, your home, or your child’s school? Are you interested in finding a dental team that offers their own in-house plan so you can get the top-tier care you desire at a more affordable price? Do you want to deal with as little referrals as possible? The answers to questions like these will help you determine what you’re looking for and, more importantly, help you find it.
Of course, if you are looking for a conveniently located dentist who offers several financial solutions and provides a wide range of services in one location, then you don’t have to look any further!
How much does a dental checkup & cleaning cost in Raleigh?
It won’t be long into your online research that you’ll find that the average price of a dental checkup and teeth cleaning in the U.S. is $200-$350. However, that number doesn’t consider important factors, including if you are insured. That’s why it’s always best to talk to your dental team directly about the cost of your care. They can provide you with accurate information and share all of the financial solutions available to make your treatment more affordable.
